Jon Else

I joined DTE Corporate Finance in January 2023, and I am really enjoying being part of this great team with an excellent reputation in the market. Since starting my career in corporate finance 20 years ago, I have worked with businesses in a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, logistics, healthcare, retail, leisure, technology, and professional services

I have advised on a number of Management Buy Outs and acquisitions and worked with clients on sale mandates to realise the value that they have created in their business.

Across the team we are working on a number of exciting projects and the pipeline of new deals looks great. I am currently advising on a number of clients on sales to both private equity and trade buyers and I am working with a large regional law on an acquisition.

Prior to joining DTE I was a director shareholder of a legal services business. I joined that business after advising the team on a Management Buy Out earlier in my corporate finance career. Whilst at the law firm, I delivered a number of M&A and fundraising projects – a highlight being a refinancing project which safeguarded the future of the business.

I believe that this experience, coupled with my knowledge of corporate finance, helps me to connect with my clients as I have first-hand experience in every aspect of running a business.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. My two children are aged 6 and 12 and most weekends I’m watching them play football and hockey. I enjoy keeping active and can often be found running and cycling. I also enjoy snowboarding and wakeboarding when I get the chance.

A fun fact about me is that I once took part in a charity fundraiser called Liverpool Idol where I sang the Oasis song, ‘Rock n Roll Star’ with a live band to an audience of over 250 people.
