The Mailing Room completes strategic acquisition

Bury based franking machine and mail room equipment provider The Mailing Room (TMR), has secured geographic expansion with the acquisition of South West based competitor, Mailing Systems (Europe) Limited (MSL).
Established in 1999, TMR source, install and service postal franking machines to a diverse customer base of over 5,000 customers in both the private and public sectors. The acquisition forms part of TMR’s expansion strategy, implemented following the appointment of Group Managing Director Ian Davidson last year.
Ian Davidson said: “The strong and stable growth of The Mailing Room is one of our key strategic objectives and the acquisition of MSL has enabled us to achieve this, expanding the company across the South West region. We are delighted that the acquisition has been a success and are now focussed on ensuring a smooth and seamless integration of the two businesses”
The Mailing Room were advised on the transaction by DTE Corporate Finance. The transaction was supported by term loan facilities from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Corporate Transactions team.
