Anglia Ruskin University – sale of Ixion to Shaw Trust
07 June 2017
DTE are pleased to announce that they have advised Anglia Ruskin University on the sale of its subsidiary, Ixion, to Shaw Trust.
Ixion Holdings (Contracts) is a not-for-profit organisation working in the employment, justice, innovation, business start-ups and skills sectors.
Bristol-based Shaw Trust provides employment opportunities, skills development training and health and well-being services across the UK.
John Govett, Ixion’s chief executive, added: “I would like to thank Anglia Ruskin University for all its support over the years and we are delighted to now be part of Shaw Trust and part of a group that can invest in the next phase of our growth strategy and with whom we share the same values of Transforming People’s Lives.”
Andy Humphrey and Stephen Moorcroft of DTE provided the corporate finance advice, whereas legal advice was provided by Paul Johnson at Ward Hadaway.
Andy Humphrey, Corporate Finance Director, commented: “Anglia Ruskin University is a long standing client for whom we provide transactional advice on an on-going basis. We are delighted to have helped with the disposal of Ixion which, over the past few years, has moved into non-core areas of activity from Anglia Ruskin University’s core educational objectives”.
